Scot Kelchner's lab is a research team studying the evolution of diversity on Earth. We clarify the historical relationships among plants, particularly bamboos and other grasses. We also work on the alignment and evolutionary dynamics of structured DNA sequences, including group II introns and intergenic spacers.
